How I’m Dressing Classy (But Still Totally Me)
Share
Hey gorgeous,
So lately I’ve been thinking about how to dress classy without feeling too dressed up. You know what I mean? I love my comfy clothes and soft layers, but sometimes I just want to look a little more put-together without changing who I am.
The other day I wore this dreamy pintuck shirt from Purple Potato with my wide-leg pants. Added a pair of hoops and some old-school sunglasses. Suddenly, I looked like I had my life sorted. I still felt like me, just a little more polished. It made me realise that classy doesn’t have to mean stiff or expensive. It can still be fun and feel-good.
Here’s what’s been working for me:
-
Keep it simple – Soft colours like ivory, sage, and navy always look good. They make you look calm and collected, even if you’re running late.
-
Choose pieces that fit well – A well-cut blazer, a nice co-ord set, or even a good pair of trousers can make a big difference. Nothing too tight, nothing too loose. Just right.
-
Play with fabrics – I’m loving soft textures right now. Crinkled cotton, modal satin, even a little linen. They feel nice and instantly look elevated.
-
Add one or two accessories – I keep it easy. Maybe a pair of gold hoops, a cute tote bag, or a simple chain. It pulls everything together without trying too hard.
-
Be chill about it – Honestly, the best part of looking classy is feeling like yourself. Don’t overthink it. Wear what feels good and walk out the door with confidence.
I’ve stopped thinking that elegant outfits are only for fancy events or rich people. Anyone can look classy. It’s really about making small choices that show you care about how you present yourself. I still wear tees, trousers, and sweatshirts all the time. I just try to style them a little better now.
So that’s where I’m at. Finding a way to look polished without losing my comfort or personality. And it feels really good.
Catch you soon,
Mo
